A group of researchers from Dermatologic Institute of San Gallicano, Rome discovered that smoking beside his nocive effects on human body, has also effect on skin complexion, closing pores. This sickness has been named "the acne of smoking people". The most known form of acne among smokers is non-inflammatory acne.
In one study took by British Journal of Dermatology is mentioned that women are more liable to this sickness. From 1000 women with ages between 25 and 50 years ols, a percent of 42% from smokers had acne.
The President of British Association of Dermatology, dr Colin Holden, added:
The dermatologists had associated smoking with pre-aging, pre-lines and changing the color of skin, long time ago. People who had acne in their preime part of life and who are now smoking are 4 times more inclined to have acne at the maturity than the non-smokers.
